Part 1: Prepare Your Children to Love
This first set of talks is designed to address
"How" to teach these delicate subjects. The focus is on helping parents to prepare their children for understanding chastity within the context of creation and purpose in their vocation in life. The goal is to teach with confidence and to understand that the most beneficial way to teach areas of morality is through example and that formation of children also involves formation of parents.
Part 2: Teaching Your Children to Love, Ages 0 - 12
These talks are designed to address the
"What" and "When" of teaching human sexuality to children within the context of overall child development. Thus, the talks will present an integrated view of development including physical, sexual, emotional, intellectual, and spiritual. Dr. Lisa will give specific examples and suggestions for teaching human sexuality within the integrated development of children based specifically on the Formation of Christian Chastity materials used in the Arlington Diocese and supplemented with other materials.
Part 3: Teaching Your Children to Love, Ages 13 - 18
These talks are designed to address the
"What" and "When" of teaching human sexuality to teens within the context of overall child development. Dr. Lisa will give specific examples and suggestions for teaching human sexuality and chastity to teens. She will also give suggestions on fostering vocations to both married life and religious life.
